Could the Children’s Scrapstore help you save your waste from landfill?

Published on .

Does your business have waste that might have a better second life as craft material rather than ending up in landfill? A charity in St Werburghs are looking all sorts of weird and wonderful scrap that can be given to children to play with! Read on to find out more.

The Scrapstore is an Aladdin’s cave of scrap, collected from a massive range of suppliers and donors from across the South-West. The scrap is anything and everything – ranging from plastic cones sourced from the local sewing shops, to bike tyres from the Bristol Bike Project, old film reels from Bristol Old Vic, wheelchairs, perfume bottles and more colourful textured card and paper that you could shake a stick at!

They have two open days coming up, 30th May and 20th June. So go and see them, have a mooch around their ‘Artrageous’ art shop, and be inspired by what’s on the shelves in their huge warehouse during the tour! You’ll have a chance to meet the team and get involved with the activities they’ll be holding.
